Menopause symptoms can make you uncomfortable and unhappy. You have to face vaginal dryness, weight gain and hot flashes. However, your menopause symptoms don’t have to ruin your life. Here are a few habits that will decrease the bitterness.
Exercise
When in doubt, exercise it out. Exercising during menopause can relieve you from many symptoms including: hot flashes, the chances of heart disease and diabetes, and the amount of weight gained. Choose your favorite exercise from jogging to yoga to basketball, and simply add it to your daily routine. It is recommended for women facing menopause to exercise 30 minutes a day for five days a week.
Exercising will also improve your muscles all throughout your body, especially your pelvic and stomach muscles.
Nutrition
To help reduce the chances of heart disease and weight gain during menopause, focus on your nutrition. Make sure you are consuming the recommended amount of fruit, vegetables and whole grains. Change up your diet by trying new foods with additional health benefits. For example, to increase your omega 7’s and treat vaginal dryness, eat Himalayan sea berries.
Instead of drinking a few cups of coffee in the morning, drink milk instead. Women going through menopause may face bone weakness. You can prevent this with vitamin D. If you are over the age of 50, strive for 1,200 milligrams of calcium and 800 international units of vitamin D on a daily basis.
Sleep
Being tired during menopause can make your mood swings get out of control. You may become irritable and annoyed with everything. Make it a priority to sleep 7 to 8 hours a night. That way you can wake up refreshed and ready for the day. Try to keep your sleeping habits as routine as possible.
Menopause can be quite the journey especially when facing the symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness.
