how to keep your body healthy and strong

How to Get a Stronger, Healthier Body

As you get older, your body changes. You suffer from menopausal symptoms, the risk of osteoporosis increases, sleep patterns change and your metabolism tends to slow down. There are many ways to prevent these symptoms and keep a strong and healthy body as you get older.

Menopausal Symptoms

Menopausal symptoms such as vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, hot flashes and night sweats occur sometime during your 50’s. To eliminate vaginal dryness and painful intercourse, you can take a daily supplement.

Our daily supplement, Femininity™, is made up of Omega-7 and sea berry oil to increase the moisture in the vaginal mucous membrane. By increasing the moisture in the vaginal mucous membrane, it will rid vaginal dryness and painful intercourse.

Increased Risk of Osteoporosis

As you age, your body tends to lose mineral content. This causes your bones to become weaker and lose density. You can reduce the risk of osteoporosis by doing weight-bearing exercises. These exercises will increase your bone strength. Be sure you are getting enough vitamin D and calcium in your diet by either eating foods or taking a daily supplement.

Changes in Sleep

Your sleep patterns change as you continue to age. You won’t sleep as much as night, and you won’t get as deep of sleep either. If you don’t feel like you are getting enough sleep, talk to your doctor to see how you can get better sleep.

Slower Metabolism

Metabolism slowing down can also be a symptom of menopause. Your body tends to need less energy as you get older, so your metabolism slows. The best way to eliminate weight gain from decreased metabolism is to exercise three to four times a week.

Change up your exercise. Run the first day of the week, do weight-bearing exercises the next and yoga the following day. This way, you won’t get bored from doing the same exercise every day. It is also important to watch your calorie intake. Decrease your calorie intake by a few calories will help reduce the likelihood of weight gain.
